The Affordable Pills That Helped My Energy, Focus, Mental Health & Skin

1

Disclaimer: this post is based on my personal experience, and you should always do your own research and consult with a medical practitioner on your personal condition(s).

I’ve been using Zinplex Vitamin B Complex on and off for a little over a year now, initially primarily as a Zinc supplement for the times when my skin was misbehaving. I didn’t pay much attention to the other effects it may be having on my body, which is probably why I didn’t commit to it fully and consistently. In general, I am admittedly not very good at being consistent with meds. However, as you may/may not know, I’m on also on a constant quest to get better at managing my mental health, and as I’ve become more vocal about it, different people have offered different suggestions or led my research in various directions.

One friend said her doctor advised that her depression was linked to a lack of vitamin B-12 (and incorporating it into her diet did wonders), and another friend mentioned how great slow release magnesium has been for her anxiety. Since I already had the abandoned Zinplex in the cupboard, I purchased some slow release magnesium too, and made sure I took one of each every morning.

The result?

I started feeling absolutely amazing every day. My energy levels were heightened, my concentration was better, my moods and anxiety improved tremendously and my skin condition stayed great. The reason I know this combo has really been working for me is because on the odd days where I have forgotten to take it, my mood and concentration takes a dip, my anxiety is more easily triggered and my energy levels basically flatline by midday! I can totally feel the difference. I mainly did this for my mental health, but the other benefits were a wonderful bonus.

One of the best parts about this little pill combo is that it is incredibly affordable. The Zinplex Vitamin B Complex is only R39,95 for 30 at Dischem (shop here), and the slow release magnesium is R64,95 for 60 (shop here).

I don’t claim to know everything, and I’m still learning more every day, but I can’t emphasise enough how much these vitamins have helped me, and I felt like I couldn’t not share it here because it’s done so much and it is so affordable. If any of you have tried this, something similar, or have anything else to share that’s helped your mental health, the comment section here and on all my other platforms are always open!
