One of the best things about winter fashion is the ability to wear a fabulous pair of boots. I’ve always been a boots girl; I pretty much live in thigh-highs when it’s chilly, and the first major present my husband ever gifted me with when we just started dating was a delicious pair of leather boots. Most importantly though, a great pair of boots – be it simple or statement – is always the easiest way to update your wardrobe for the colder season. That being said, in today’s post I’ve teamed up with Spitz to share my top picks from their A/W18 collection, as well as tips for how to wear each of them!
STYLE 1: THE POINTY LACE-UP BOOT
I’ve been looking for a pair of these since last winter! I love a good style homage, and these remind me of J.Lo circa 2001. They’re versatile, classic and this particular pair has the most perfect silhouette and heel height. The first time I wore these I was super impressed with the sturdiness of the heel itself, and the arch distributed the weight evenly into my foot’s heel. Coupled with the height of the uppers which fit above my ankle, they were impressively comfortable to walk in.

Team boots like these with an all-white ensemble and let your shoes have their moment, or pair it with lux joggers cuffed into the boot. If you’re wanting something even more girly, try a pleated midi skirt with this, or a flowing dress. The possibilities are endless – just make sure you show these off!

STYLE 2: THE RED ANKLE BOOT
Red boots are having a MAJOR moment in the fashion world, and they are without a doubt the current it-girl shoe for winter. I’ve always enjoyed a good kitten heel because they offer the best kind of balance; low enough to offer the same/similar comfort as a pair of flats, but dressy enough because of the little heel. Red has been my ultimate go-to color for the last year or so, and I know these are going to be my perfect power shoes, adding a stunning flash of scarlett wherever I go!

Grey plaid and red always make a chic statement, but these look just as striking with an all denim look or a midi dress. Again, try and go for hemlines cropped above the ankle so these shoes can have their moment.

STYLE 3: THE SLOUCHY KNEE-HIGH
This pair is another old-school classic, and the perfect lazy-girl cheat when you don’t feel like wearing high heels. I wore this look to dinner the other night and my outfit was a hit! I love that it has a comfortable block heel and brings added warmth on chillier days because they are knee-high.

Pair these boots with skinny jeans and a voluminous jacket for an effortlessly cool silhouette, or team them with a casual pencil skirt. I love the idea of them with shorter dresses and stockings, or even ditch the stockings and pair it with a mini dress in the summer time.
