Happy Monday, loves! It’s technically Sunday as I’m writing this from the back of my dad’s van, we’re on our way up the Garden Route. I came with Malick and my parents for a little getaway to celebrate my mom’s birthday. A good few days of wellness are on the cards and I seriously need it. We came here a month ago and loved it, it had me so relaxed, that by the time we left here on our previous visit, I felt so motivated and truly had a productive month since. Seriously though, I barely think I’ve stopped working since the last time we were here!
For everyone in the media industry, and I think pretty much every industry, it’s “season” now, AKA, the crazy busy time of the year where client demands are high and frequent, and we push ourselves to the brink of burnout before a well-deserved holiday. I have so much lined up until the end of the year, I’m exhausted just thinking about it. But on that note, I’m also feeling really grateful. A huge thank you especially goes out to all of you who have been booking me to do your make-up! I don’t usually take on a lot of make-up bookings, but I make an exception during September (15 faces done and counting so far!) because it’s basically the annual glam month with the beginning of wedding season and all your matric/university farewells. It’s always AMAZING meeting you guys, and this way I meet your families too and get to be a part of your special day, which I truly love! Also your moms always try and feed me which I love too :)
Otherwise,I’m kinda bummed about the fact that I won’t be travelling this year, making it the first year I haven’t been abroad in about five years. First world pains I know, but I’m really just the happiest when I’m away. This little trip away with my family does numb the blow though, and I know staying focused will pay off the way it always does.
About this look:
I’m wearing another cool design from Street Lines apparel and I love this slouchy zip dress! It also looks amazing when zipped open, worn with jeans and a tank top. My new adidas Tubular sneakers are my current favourite sneaks right now and they’re just treating me so well.
