Loving this spread I found on Ben Trovato Blog by Emman Montalvan. Inspired by the beach-lovin’ rock ‘n roll California girl, I interpret it having a search for balance; the tomboy vs feminine girl, All Star Converse vs Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s, rolling around on a skateboard vs rolling around in an old Lincoln limo, the artist vs the muse, inhaling smoke vs blowing bubbles. .
Balance. Fitting criteria. The balance of that criteria. Maybe it’s a celebration of marrying opposites? Maybe balance isn’t necessary? Maybe, it is possible to have your cake and eat it?
Maybe I’m beginning to sound like a lazy attempt at the sort of aesthetic contemplation found in the art history journals I was obsessed with in my first year of university.
Maybe I am thinking and talking too much.
