I bought my sulking feelings these sequinned pants on sale at a more reasonably priced Pull & Bear in Oxford Street when Zorah forbade me from buying another item from Massimo Dutti. Knowing sequins are always a good consolation prize, she guided me well that day.
I wore this Hello Kitty neckpiece for the first time to the Puma launch. I had it custom-made by an amazing designer in Bangkok called Naris for about R50 (bless Asia and its value for money). She creates the most incredible pieces out of lazer-cut perspex, and this was one of the two I bought. While I’m not a major Hello Kitty fan, I was feeling particularly Japanese at the time, so it made sense then and again now.
Meanwhile, my H&M wedge sneakers once again made my already tiny feet look smaller than they already are, and about 1,85m later they created awkward encounters with any short people I needed to greet. Nonetheless, after about a year’s sabbatical from them, they accompanied me comfortably to the event, although I repeatedly had to say “No, they’re not Puma’s.”
So happy it’s a short week, it’s technically Wednesday when you think about it!
