Hosting G-Star RAW’s Women’s Night 2014

If you remember a few posts back, I hosted this year’s G-Star RAW Women’s Night in Cape Town alongside my friend, Anelisa Mangcu. I had the best time meeting readers, bloggers, hanging out with a group of generally awesome women, and helping a few of them pick out  jeans which will undoubtedly be their new favourite for the next few years! Anelisa and I each shared our denim story and finding the perfect fit, with mine entailing how I was introduced to G-Star RAW already at the age of seventeen. After working in a store at the time, which sold seven premium international denim brands, G-Star RAW was the brand whose stock I would sell out on a regular basis, which explains why, seven years later, it is the only one of those premium brands with a notable presence in South Africa. It was strange/funny/cool, seeing my old boss there (cue Drake’s “started from the bottom now we’re here”), he was pretty strict back then, but that way I learnt so much about quality and craftmanship.
