I really enjoy a good quote. Not only do I Instagram it and hope for a couple hundred likes (ha!), but I really pander to one that hits home. If I see another person quote Coco Chanel saying “a girl should always be two things; classy and fabulous”,or “give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world”, I may just google how to give myself a DIY lobotomy. If we’re going to learn from the greats, how about a few quotes that will give us something to think about or something that reflects their inspiring passion? I’ve put together a list of some I really… enjoyed. And thought I’d share.

– Marc Jacobs
3. “Fashion is life-enhancing and I think it’s a lovely, generous thing to do for other people.”
– Vivienne Westwood

7. “Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live.”
– Gianni Versace
8. “Design is a constant challenge to balance comfort with luxe, the practical with the desirable.”
– Donna Karan
9. “There has to be a balance between your mental satisfaction and the financial needs of your company. (But) I always remember that it’s the fantasy, the artistic side, that makes customers want to buy the straightforward black pants.”
