My OOTD : Eid-ul-Fitr 2017

Eid Mubarak to all my amazing Muslim readers! I know there are many of you :) if you are celebrating today, may it be a beautiful day filled with love, prosperity, blessings and of course, GREAT food!

This is my look for Eid today, and if you’re wondering why I looked so moody in these photographs it’s because I was hangry as hell. I had a steak pie for breakfast today though, so you can trust I’m in high spirits!

Best believe that while I was giving all of you Eid outfit ideas, I had no idea what to wear myself. Following a great amount of Instagram archiving my mom and I came up with these wide length trousers, and this cloak, which is really a belted shawl. I completely forgot to take a picture of the back! It looks like an actual tail coat when it’s all tied up. Also, I don’t know about you guys but I’m getting so over turbans, on myself mostly, I still like them on other people. These days I’m super into simple square scarves, folded into a triangle (and tied as if I’m about to go for a drive in the convertible car that I do not own). It’s just so minimal and chic, and for someone like me who gets a little OTT at times, I need the minimal to balance out the extra!

I really wanted to take another outfit video for you guys to show this all off properly (really loving doing videos these days), but honestly, I had the worst break out of my life and didn’t feel comfortable. I had a total of six super big pimples on my face, and yes, I photoshopped them out here. Also, I’m not being dramatic, when people who know you to have clear and amazing skin ask you WTF happened, you know it’s real! Following a facial, no dairy and sugar for five days and using natural products only they’re 75% gone now, but my skin is still a little bumpy and scarred. I seriously take my hat off to anyone who has dealt with worse skin problems, it’s so painful and gives your confidence such a knock! This was such an eye-opener for me now not to take my genetically great skin for granted again. Do you guys have any natural remedies that really worked for you? I’m trying to avoid anything too chemical. Let me know in the comment section or tweet me @SAFashionBreed!
