Nkosi

Happy Monday babes! Here we have my Fashion Week outfit and let me just say, I did NOT plan to be this extra. Quite the opposite, I was planning on keeping things pretty simple! I went to Cavendish Square and found some great wide length trousers, and I went into YDE looking for a minimal, fitted bell-sleeve top to complete the look. I was just in the mood to blend in, you know? I found the top, but then right next it this phenomenal dress hung on Khosi Nkosi’s rail and that minimal outfit idea instantly went right out of the window. Naturally I couldn’t resist popping a stiffening underneath for added wow-factor. So much for ‘simple’!

To keep things both modest and winter-friendly, I layered the dress with this basic turtleneck from MRP, where I also picked up these gold leafy hair clips. Lastly, I added some edge with my new favourite boots from Carvela at Spitz (which are also available in a lovely chocolate brown). In a manner that’s totally unlike me, I found my full fashion week look in under an hour all in one mall, and I felt like a queen on Friday!

I just wore what made me feel good and genuinely didn’t expect the crazy amount of attention it received from showgoers. It was overwhelming because I was PMSing that night too ie: moody and starving with my head in the clouds, so I really just wanted to make myself feel pretty and enjoy the shows. I did a fashion week takeover that night for another brand too and I kept trying to hide away from people so I could whatsapp the brand manager and finalize social media collateral without any confusion. However, let me just say, it’s super hard to hide when you’re 6 feet tall AND wearing a huge dress plus eight clips in your hair, and everyone wanted to know everything about this dress! Well, now you all know – it’s from Khosi Nkosi at YDE in Cavendish. Go and get one! You won’t be sorry :) you will also be supporting a local brand and buying a garment made in SA. I plan on wearing it in the summer too, sans turtleneck and stiffening, with a pair of fresh white sneakers.

For now though I have THREE videos to edit. I filmed them and I’m stalling the editing because it takes forever, but you can look forward to some cool content on my YouTube soon.

Have an amazing day further my loves!

Xx
