Every year, somewhere between July and September (the middle ground between my mom, aunt and cousin’s birthday as well as Woman’s Day in South Africa), we do a girls family spa day to celebrate. This year, as a group we tried the multiple award-winning Amani Spa at the Radisson Blu at the Waterfront for the first time as a group, after my cousin and I persuaded everyone else. We’d both been with our husband’s before and absolutely loved it!
As you may have gathered by now, I’ve developed a good relationship with the Radisson Group, so they went the extra mile for us on the day, which is great because it’s something you can request from them too if you have a special occasion coming up with family or friends. Upon our arrival, each of our cloakroom lockers had our names on it, and we were treated to massages, mani/pedis and facials, a beautiful set lunch, swim/chill in their jacuzzi pool followed by mocktails at sunset. If I didn’t have to rush off, I definitely would have stayed to use the sauna! The spa facilities and location are absolutely stunning, and on-site they have a beautiful hair salon too (which I’m yet to try, but I’ve heard great things).
My favourite treatment of the day was by far the massage, if ever you go to Amani Spa, ask for Ashley. It felt like she reset my whole life when her magical hands touched my back!
