This post is a liiiittle delayed, and I still receive emails about where the key items in my outfit are from, but I really wanted to do a proper post on it. I was waiting for my superstar friend, Trevor Stuurman, to catch a moment to send me these shots we took in the nick of time before the opening show.
My look was very last minute, and my mom sewed up this skirt cape for me in two days, and it is separate from the Studio W trousers I wore underneath. The first of its kind, it took her a little longer than usual, and I learned the hard way not to wear it to events where tons of people would all be walking on my train. The look was a major hit on Instagram and at Fashion Week itself, thank you guys for that ego boost, I was a little unsure of whether it was a win or not, and felt super rushed and flustered, so you really gave my confidence the kick it needed!
I attended SAFW courtesy of Rimmel, while I live-instagrammed for Zando. They kindly housed us in the beautiful, newly-revamped Crowne Plaza, treated us to a spa session, yummy food and amazing products. My night ended with Thithi and I ordering room service, embracing a well-needed food coma on the floor and talking that deep talk until 2am.
A short and sweet visit, thank you Rimmel for having me! And see you again next week Jozi :)
