Since Karl Lagerfeld launched that spaceship at the Chanel show in Feb, a significant part of our colour palette for winter was prescribed with a blast. From mirrored shades to footwear, apparel and beauty looks, all things silver and space-themed can be found everywhere. That being said, it’s a really fun trend right now that really isn’t as intimidating as it seems! It also gives a simple outfit a quick and easy pick-me-up.
TIPS FOR WEARING SILVER:
1.) If your silver piece has a statement design or shape, keep your accompanying silhouettes simple and neutral.
2.) Team it with muted tones like grey, black, light/navy blue, white and tan.
3.) Avoid pairing it with bright colours or other metallics, because that’s when it tends to get too much.

This winter I’ve been living in boyfriend/mom jeans, different turtlenecks, and a pair of ankle boots of some sort. It’s so easy to layer with other fun pieces and super modest-friendly too. The other day I basically wore this exact outfit but threw a black and white sequined crop top over the turtleneck and everyone thought it looked amazing and different. So silver jacket aside, this really is my go-to look! Have any of you had a fool-proof outfit this winter?
