Spring in Your Step: 3 Sandal Styles to Try this Season

IMG_6335

Spring is here and I couldn’t be happier, since I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t fare too well in the cold. That being said, in today’s post I’ve teamed up with Spitz to share my favourite sandals from their current summer collection as well as tips for how to wear each of them! By now you guys may have noticed I basically live in Spitz shoes, all year round their footwear is on a constant rotion for me and spring/summer 2017 will be no different!

Each of the three styles I picked out here boast the perfect balance between trendy and timeless, and they are of course high quality, and offer superior comfort.

LOOK 1: The Espadrille Flatform Slide [Location: Portugal]

Espadrilles are a classic, summer staple for every woman, and this time around, they’ve received a trendy update to a slip-on, flatform silhouette. This design by Kurt Geiger could easily be the most comfortable pair of shoes I own at the moment, and I love the chic, bohemian touch they add to an outfit.

HOW DO I WEAR IT?

I’ve teamed my pair with a pretty, summery dress, but it would also look amazing teamed with cropped flare trousers, or high-waisted denims and a crisp white shirt. Whatever you match it with, make sure your hemlines sit above the ankle; this is the kind of shoe you want to show off.

LOOK 2: The Luxe Leather Slide [Location: Dubai]

Slides or slip-ons have solidified their place in the styles of key spring/summer footwear to own, but this year, a minimal, leather version of the design is the must-have-shoe for summer. I’ve spotted it on some of my favourite international it-girls and this particular pair by Kurt Geiger features refined gold-chain trimming for an added hint of luxe.

HOW DO I WEAR IT?

On my recent holiday I paired these with absolutely everything from summer dresses to casual slacks, but they’d look as amazing with denims or shorts

LOOK 3: The Chunky Lace-Up [Location: Paris]

Lace-up heels have been major for the last couple of years but this summer it comes with the update of thicker straps and a more block-like heel, as opposed to the skinnier straps and stilettos we’ve seen before. This pair by Kurt Geiger is the perfect day-to-night pair of shoes since the block heel provides added comfort, while the tan shade can take you from a lunch date to a night out. Furthermore, if tan isn’t your shade, they’re available in black too.

HOW DO I WEAR IT?

These versatile heels look great with almost anything! I’ve worn it with everything from dresses,to a power suit and a pair of cropped denims. For the most part though, I love tan shoes paired with an all-white look as seen above.

For more details, prices and to search for a Spitz store that stocks your favorite of these, visit www.spitz.co.za. All styles here are by Kurt Geiger, but have a look at the other brands they have too; Carvela Luxe and Stuart Weitzman are other firm favourites of mine. If you loved any of these, let me know which is your favorite pair, the comment section is always open and I’d love to hear from you!
