I wore this outfit to the MAC AW15 trends talk last week, dressed from head-to-toe in items I tend to neglect in my closet. For the past year or so, I’ve been making a conscious effort to wear more of my clothing and shop less (yes really), because besides the obvious fact that it’s the right thing to do and you save money, it forces me to be more creative. Initially I pander to the pedantic thought which insists I have nothing to wear, only to end up in something I feel pretty good in.
Besides, as most of you know by now, a great leather finish can always sway me into loving my look. This fantastic clutch purse doubles up as an iPad holder and was designed for me by my fantastic husband. Along with his business partner, they will be releasing their second range of leather bags following the amazing success they have experienced from their private clients. Um, way-to-my-heart much?
Outfit aside, save for my blinding migraine that evening, the MAC trends talk was so good! From hydrated, glowing skin to mud brown lips and electric blue cat eyes, I’ve had so much fun experimenting with the techniques that were demonstrated, and grafting different looks in the fat book of blank face charts they gave us.
Otherwise, it’s ten days until the Build-Your-Blog Workshop and I’m super excited! I really loved meeting so many readers at the G-Star event I hosted last year, so I’m looking forward to more face-to-face action :)
