A few months ago, during in Ramadan, I filmed an insert with the TV show, Mela! We shot at the beautiful Bliss Boutique hotel in Blouberg, who kindly allowed us to use their space. I have to come back here for a little weekend break, it’s not much of a drive yet feels like you’re far away, with a killer view of the mountain and ocean!
Lisa captured these pictures of us between filming, but she had her moment in front of the camera too.
The segment will air this Sunday on SABC 3 at 1:30pm, while the repeat is usually on Tuesday at 3pm. I’m really hoping that Eid ends up being on Monday and not Sunday, otherwise my mom will be sure to have the entire family watching at Eid lunch, with everyone teasing me of course!

On a more sad note, last night we received the unfortunate news that my aunt passed away. We were never close because she lived in PE, but I will always remember her kindness, generosity, smile and her excited voice whenever she called. I’m unable to go up for the funeral this morning, so it all feels a bit weird. Feel free to keep my family in your prayers, it was a real shock.
