Hi my loves! Hope you all had a good weekend? I spent most of mine in bed with monthly cramps, but did manage to head out for sunday lunch and a new pair of shades :) I’m still recovering from the wedding of one of my closest friends, La’eeqah, on Saturday. She’s the kind of girl who hates a fuss and would have preferred eloping, and simply couldn’t be bothered with what were to happen on the day, as long as she got to marry her man! As bridesmaids myself and Inge pulled together some very last minute flower arrangements, outfits and a bridal shower. I also did the bride’s make-up and the faces of three other family members. All in all, it was a really fun time and beautiful memories were made! She’s the fifth one of my friends to get married this year, and it’s been so special to be a part of so many magical days of love. Contrary to other terrible events in 2016, on that note, maybe this year wasn’t so bad since I got to witness so many loved ones make one of life’s most beautiful commitments.
ABOUT THIS OUTFIT:
I actually wore this a few weeks ago to the Cosmo Summer party as a guest of Sunglass Hut. I love how light and breezy this look is, super classic and versatile. On the night of the party, I actually teamed it with a nude leather baseball cap. You gotta love how a simple accessory can take you from chic to street in the best of ways.
