G-STAR Women’s Concept Store Launch Hyde Park

Just over a week ago I attended the launch of the new G-Star RAW Women’s Concept Store in Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg. 

The store specialises in showcasing the brand’s expertise in women’s denim while also creating a shopping experience with women in mind. From floor length curtains in the change room with the specific intention to hide bad sock days and the times you need a pedi, to denim gowns for when you’re indecisive and picking out other items in store, the store itself seems to know us girls very well!

G-Star’s infamous philosophy on “unexpected combinations” – the theory that innovation comes from combining contrasting elements – is echoed throughout the store’s design and finishing. There are seven other G-Star RAW women’s concept store in the world, making it a milestone for SA as we’re known to be an “emerging market”. 

It was awesome being able to celebrate with the team,  but I really missed having the usuals (Thithi, Trevor, Anelisa and Paul) there! Thank you G-Star RAW for having me.
