I love the idea of my Fashion Week outfits building up in their drama, so compared to my , needless to say, sequins and some plumage promised to up the ante :) I was also both happy and surprised to find this look was named best dressed by The Times in Johannesburg – yay!
This fantastic feather skirt was made for me by my dear friend Inge, and given to me as a gift at my bachelorette party. She’s been making these skirts since we were at varsity together a good five years ago, and her black and blue ones made the rounds amongst our friends. We never cared who wore it the week before, as long as we all had our turn! Her little feathered creations made the outfit for any occasion a no-brainer, which for her included our graduation, so I was so happy when she surprised me with my own one years later!
